Brands like Netflix and GE are often applauded for their innovative approach to native advertising. And rightfully so. But behind every great brand there's a great agency.
In this year's Native Advertising Awards the best native advertising in the world is acknowledged and in two categories we celebrate the agencies behind the best creative work in the industry.
For best Native Advertising Agency/Studio of the Year under 20 the following three agencies have just been shortlisted:
POLITICO Focus VG Partner Studio BurdaForward
POLITICO Focus is the Brand Journalism Team of Politico, the D.C.-based political news organisation. It was originally headed by Stephanie Losee, who has since joined Visa. It's primary focus is on political agenda such as 'Light a Candle' for the American Cancer Society. Read more about POLITICO Focus.
VG Partner Studio develops content for distribution on the platforms of the successful Norwegian newspaper VG (Verdens Gang), which have attracted a lot of admiration for its approach to digital and for its involvement of users. One of the native advertising projects the agency did was a great piece of storytelling on the first Norwegian tsunami in relation to the movie 'The Wave'.
BurdaForward's is one of Europe's biggest digital media sales houses and reaches more than half of all German Internet users per month. Its portfolio includes the company's own websites such as FOCUS Online and Huffington Post Germany as well as partner websites like XING. Its native advertising campaigns covers a range of topics.
